The 2004 Great Pottsville Cruise -- 11th Anniversary
This 2004 Cruise features: a 10.4-mile Cruise Route, reduced hold-ups, more cool-down area. Cruise will stage at Martz Hall beginning at 1:00 p.m.--Cars in the upper lot, trucks in the lower lot. Judging will be done throughout the afternoon at Martz Hall. Over 100 trophies and awards will be given out. The 2004 Cruise begins an hour earlier than previous years, and will start at 4:00 p.m. The Cruise continues to 7 p.m. All of this year's post-Cruise activities including trophies, contests, cash drawings, Cruise Car drawing, "Flamin' Dick & the Hotrods," and fireworks, will be at MARTZ HALL, not at the Union Street Parking lot as in years past.
The Cruise Route (a 10.4 mile circle):
(Upper lot): Leave Martz Hall at 16th St, turn left on Maple Avenue, towards Mar Lin. Turn left on Westwood Road to Market Street. Turn left on Market Street to Centre Street. Turn left on Centre Street to Laurel Blvd. Turn left on Laurel Blvd return to Maple Avenue and continue. (Lower lot): Same route in reverse. Leave Martz Hall on Laurel Blvd to Centre Street. Right on Centre Street to Market Street. Right on Market Street to Westwood Road. Right on Westwood Road to Maple Avenue. Right on Maple Avenue return to Laurel Blvd. and continue.
The 2004 Great Pottsville Cruise will be a three-day event.

- Cruise in to the Coney Island downtown Pottsville for a night of hula-hoops, gum blowing and oldies. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free of charge.
- Mayor's Teen Dance, sponsored by the Schuylkill Valley Corvette Club, Arch Street Parking Lot, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Free of charge.

| Saturday, August 7: |

- Cruise in to Jerry's Classic Cars Museum. Re-live the 50's and 60's. Free Hot Dog and Coke with Admission, from 12:00 to 6:00 pm.
- "Sock Hop" at the Catholic War Vets, on First Avenue, off Laurel Boulevard. $10. Tickets at the door, or in advance call Jerry's 622-9510.

The 11th Annual Great Pottsville Cruise 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cruise begins and ends at Martz Hall. Registration for Cruisers $10 day of Cruise, or $8 in advance. ALL CRUISERS MUST HAVE A CRUISE STICKER DISPLAYED ON WINDSHIELD!
